SMART PHONE APP DEVELOPMENTAudio-related apps for iPhone, iPod Touch, Android, etc.
We have about half a dozen ideas for audio-related applications for iPhone and related platforms. Some are very straightforward; others are more advanced. We would like to find someone who has experience doing iPhone development.
Payment would be royalties as a percentage of sales, with advances against royalties at various milestones.
AUDIO EFFECTS PLUG-IN DEVELOPMENT
Programmer to finish up Spectral Machine
We're looking for a contract programmer who can help debug and clean up our forthcoming Spectral Machine plug-in.
The known bugs are:
- A crash bug in the Windows version. There may be threading issues.
- The program name doesn't get updated in the host following program changes.
- Some bugs were introduced in the program change logic when trying to fix the windows version.
- An efficiency error was introduced recently in the Harmonizer presets.
We need someone who has experience programming VST and Audio Unit plug-ins for Windows and Mac OS X. We also need someone who can work with little supervision and who is fearless in the face of sub-optimal code. Payment would be a fixed fee and/or royalties as a percentage of sales.
Other Audio Effects Plug-ins
We're always interested in finding developers with innovative new audio software plug-ins or other audio-related products. If you're an audio DSP programmer with new product ideas or prototypes, especially if you prefer to focus mostly on the actual DSP programming instead of the API code, marketing, etc., we would like to hear from you.
You provide the programming, based either on your own product ideas or one of ours. (Areas of special interest to us include voice processing, reverb, spatialization, applications of advanced DSP research, etc., but you will be most effective if you work in an area you find interesting.)
We can supply web traffic, media contacts, and a cross-platform codebase in VST and Audio Unit plug-in formats for Mac OS X and Windows. We handle the sales, marketing and customer support and let you focus on what you enjoy most, the DSP programming. You would receive the major portion of the proceeds from sales of the software.
If you have a small project or a niche market and your alternatives are 1) dealing with the expense, time and hassles of starting your own company, 2) trying to interest a larger publisher, or 3) releasing it as shareware, we would like to offer another alternative. Even with a great product, it can be hard to find a market when you're staring from scratch. We can help you obtain visibility while freeing you up to work on other projects.
If this sounds interesting, contact us.
Please note that we can not reply to inquiries regarding positions that are not listed above. We do not have any full-time jobs or internships at this time.
